Charles Richard Lehman

Charles Richard Lehman, 79, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Lehman was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Ashland, a son of the late John P. "Jack" and Juanita Stapleton Lehman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Arrington Lehman; a sister, Mary Margaret Logsdon; and a brother-in-law, Bud Carroll.
Mr. Lehman was a lifelong resident of Ashland and a member of the Beech Street Christian Church. He was a member of Ashland Elks Lodge B.P.O.E 350, American Legion Post 76 and a former mason of the Poage Lodge 325 F&AM;.
Mr. Lehman retired as Captain from the Ashland Fire Department after more than 30 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Mark Lehman and wife Vicky of South Point, Ohio and their children, Erik and Kristin; a daughter, Tammy McCarthy and husband Kevin of Flatwoods and their son, Justin; three stepchildren, Melinda McDavid and husband Dave of Lexington, Michelle Blevins of Lexington and children Britnie and Chase and Lisa Blevins and husband Sean of Ashland and children Shaela and Sean; sister, Karen Carroll of Franklin, OH;  a brother-in-law, James Logsdon of Union; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Rob O'Lynn officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beech Street Christian Church Family Life Center, 1672 Beech St., Ashland, KY 41102.
