Juanita Williams

Juanita Williamson Williams, 92, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the home of her daughter. Juanita was born January 10, 1925 in Stone, KY, a daughter of the late James Lewis and Mary Ann Blackburn Williamson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter by marriage Lisa Marie Walker. Juanita was raised in Pike County, KY and was a “Girls in Blue” Nurses Aid with the Pikeville Methodist Hospital for many years. She also served as a Nurses Aid with Kings Daughters Medical Center. Juanita attended the Summit Church of the Nazarene and the Freewill Baptist Church. Most importantly to her was her family. Juanita was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed. Survivors include her husband of 68 years Jack Williams of Ashland, her daughter Kaye Walker and husband Ronnie of Ashland, her grandchildren she adored Zachary Williams Walker, Ronda Kaye Walker, her great grandchildren she adored Leochia Lisa Marie Walker, Brighum Tildon Ray Walker and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel by Pastor Rob Steinbrook. Entombment will follow in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
