Mrs Sheila Joyce McKnight

Sheila Joyce McKnight, 70, of Ashland passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles Vernon and Madine Horn Johnson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her Husband Paul “Tougie” McKnight Jr. and two brothers John David Johnson and Tommy Johnson.

Sheila was a 1964 graduate of Boyd County High School. She loved being outdoors, and enjoyed gardening. She had a giving heart always caring for the elderly and anyone in need. Sheila was a devoted loving homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Timothy W. McKnight and wife Sherry of Pocahontas, Ill.; a brother Charles Johnson Jr. and wife Norma of Ashland; grandchildren, Timothy Wayne McKnight Jr., Stephanie Leanne McKnight (Jimmy) Clanton; great grandchild, Laney Jordan Clanton.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday June 8, 2017 at Ashland Cemetery with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. Thursday at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, KY 41101.
