Barbara Lee Cossett

Barbara Lee Cossett, 83, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1935, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Foster and Marie Miller Pennington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Lindsey Ray Cossett in 2013; and a sister, Joyce Ellen Grimes.
Barbara was a member of Unity Baptist Church where she was involved with the Women’s Mission, Women’s Prayer Group, and the Judgement House.
Survivors include sons, Lindsey Ray Cossett Jr. and wife Vicki of Flatwoods and David Allen Cossett and wife Jerrie of Lawrence County, KY; daughters Sally Anne Crance and husband John and Mandy Lee Barham and husband David, all of Ashland; grandchildren Seth Cossett, Amy (Tommy) Reynolds, Andrea (Jason) McGarey, Chuck (Becky) Crance, Andrew (Holly Marie) Crance, Adam Crance, Kristopher (Chelsea) Barham, James Ray (Cassie) Barham, Jeffrey (Jackie) Barham, Tiffanie (Mark) Buckner, Hannah Cossett, Kristina (Kyle) Puckett and Jordan Barham; 18 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Dr. Jeremy Couture officiating. Entombment will follow in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
