Brandon Reid Sloan, 36, of Ashland, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at King's Daughters Medical Center with his loving family at his side.
Brandon was born December 19, 1981, in Ashland, the oldest son of Frank and Cheri Hambrick Sloan of Ashland.
Brandon attended South Ashland United Methodist Church. He was a 2000 graduate of Paul Blazer High School where he was a member of the Soccer Team and was named Player of the Year in the 16th Region and received honorable mention All-State Player. He was an avid Maryland Terrapins Fan and worked for the Ashland Independent School System.
Brandon had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious personality. He loved everyone and was always willing to help anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Jordan Scott Sloan of Ashland, and Christian Alexander Sloan of Louisville; aunt, Beth Colley; two cousins, Evan Rice and Trey Rice; and a host of loving extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of Brandon's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, at South Ashland United Methodist Church with words of comfort provided by Pastor Keith Katterheinrich. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, at the church.
