Candice L. Mastin

Candice Louise Moore Mastin, 72, of Ashland, KY, passed away at Kings Daughters Medical Center on June 7, 2023.  She was born in Ashland, KY on September 20, 1950 to the late Gordon Moore and Jerry Davis. She was also preceded in death by three children, Kelli, Jennifer and Travis Mastin, and her beloved grandmother, Dovie Davis who raised her. 

She was a homemaker, a wonderful baker, a loving wife and mother and a doting grandmother who adored spending time with her grandchildren.  Candice was a member of Beech Street Christian Church. 

Candice is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gary Mastin of Ashland, KY; daughters, Amanda Mastin and her children Mya and Keegan of Ashland, KY and Kristin Kaul, husband James and their daughter, Lillian of Flatwoods, KY;  
brothers, Gordon Moore, Jr. and Greg Moore both of Ashland, KY;  sisters, Vera Bowman of Flatwoods and Sue Hilgenberg and husband, Joseph of Coalgrove, OH; and a step-sister Debbie Massie of Ashland, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME-13th ST. CHAPEL at 1:00 PM and will be officiated by Dr. Rob O’Lynn.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until service time at 1:00 PM.
