Carissa Nethercutt

Carissa LaRay Nethercutt, 35, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born January 29, 1988 in Boyd County, a daughter of Edgar Nethercutt of Ashland and Cynthia L. Weasenforth of Arkansas.
Carissa was a graduate of Boyd County High School. She had a passion for working on cars and was quite the mechanic. She was a beautiful young woman full of energy with the ability to make friendships with anyone she met. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all whom had the privilege to have known her.
In addition to her father Edgar (Parthenia) and her mother Cynthia, additional survivors include her daughters Miah Payne and Mya Payne, brothers, Harry Edgar Nethercutt, III, Robert Christopher (Nicole) Nethercutt, sisters Brittany Leann Nethercutt, Courtney Lynn (Chris) Monroe, Erica Osborn, paternal grandparents Edgar and Eva Jane Hale Nethercutt and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, June 7, 2023 from 6-8 pm at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at the Whosoever Worship Center, 3232 Greenup Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101 at a later date.
