Christopher Andrew Toney

Christopher Andrew Toney, 51, was born December 4, 1970 in Huntington, West Virginia and returned to his Heavenly father on January 24, 2022 in Somerset, Kentucky.

Christopher was reunited in heaven with his father, the late Rev. Andrew J. “A.J.” Toney, Jr.

Although Christopher was born with special needs, he remained very active. He attended Boyd County Schools and classes at Oakwood Care Facility in Somerset.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving mother, Asenath Bowling Toney of Catlettsburg, KY; an uncle, Joel Hickman of Jackson, OH; two special cousins, Scott Hickman of Lockport, NY, and Tracy Hickman of Jackson, OH; numerous cousins and many friends.

A service to honor Christopher’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with words of comfort provided by Pastor Tom Leach. Entombment will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Although flowers are welcome, contributions in Christopher’s memory may be directed to Operation Christmas Child Samaritans Purse.
