Clayton Don “Clay” Goble, 23, of Dayton, KY, formerly of Ashland, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at his residence. Clay was born November 14, 1997 in Lexington, KY. He is the son of Jerry Goble (Mendi) of Richmond and Missy Young Salyers (Mark) of Ashland.
Clay was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Faye Conley and his uncle Kyle Goble.
Clay was a 2016 Paul G. Blazer graduate. He excelled in football as the starting center. He loved to golf with family and friends and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. He was the general manager of Captain’s Cove Marine in Cincinnati. All that knew him personally know that he was an avid LSU Fan. Clay attended the Meade Station Church of God and the First Baptist Church in Richmond.
In addition to his parents, Clay is also survived by a loving extended family, including his paternal grandparents Elder and Ellie Goble of Richmond, his maternal grandparents Don and Shirley Young of Ashland, his brothers Conner Goble of Richmond, best friend and identical twin brother Chase Goble of Richmond, Taylor (Beth) Davis of Richmond, Aaron Salyers of Shelbyville, his sisters Grace Conley of Ashland, Tori (Kaleb) Epperson of Richmond, his step-dad David Conley of Ashland, Aunt Sheri and Uncle Scott Henry, cousins Caleb (Bobbi) Henry, Caroline Henry, James Kyle Goble, Ryliegh Goble and a host of extended family and good friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Friday, July 23, 2021 at the MEADE STATION CHURCH OF GOD, 10255 Cedar Hill Drive, Ashland, KY. Pastor Rob Jordan will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00 noon till service time at the Church.
Burial will be in the family cemetery.
