Danny Lee Miller, 74, of Bradenton, Florida, died December 20th, 2022, in Bradenton. He was born in Louisa, Ky., to Bascom Miller and Edith Borders of Cannonsburg, KY. He spent two years in Ohio and Indiana, before his family settled in the Ashland, Kentucky area. He graduated with honors from Blazer High School. He also was in their R.O.T.C. military program for 3 years, earning the rank of Major, and being the second in command. From there, he attended University of Kentucky, Marshall University and Morehead State University, earning degrees in education and history. He taught in the Boyd County school system for 27 years, a profession he loved. Upon retiring, he served as a substitute teacher for another 13 years in the Ashland school system. During his whole life, he was involved in businesses as well. There was Ashland's Gartrell Hill Market, Ashland City Produce Store, Catlettsburg's Farmers Market & Convenience Store, Grayson's Roadside Convenience Store, Miller's Wholesale Produce Company, retail video rental stores in Ashland, Kentucky, and both Ceredo and Kenova, West Virginia as well. After moving to Florida in 2013, he also authored ten books, all of which are on Amazon.com under his pen name of Mafia Miller. He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife, Eusebia and loving children, Kimberly and Jason Miller (Jenny), a granddaughter, Cerridwyn Miller, his brother, Phillip Miller (Danita) and sister, Judy Carole Miller. Family and friends will gather at Steen Funeral Home on 13th Street on Saturday, January 21st, for a visitation from 1:00-2:30 p.m., followed by a brief memorial service.
