Francess Perkins Clay

Francess Joann Perkins Clay, 87, of Ashland, Ky. Passed away on June 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born on April 2, 1931 in Ashland to the late Hubert and Blanche Kitchen Perkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Clay, a sister Corine Hickman and a brother Alfred Perkins.

Francess was a homemaker and was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by her sons, Steven T. Clay and wife Nancy, Daniel H. Clay and wife Cathy and Thomas S. Clay II and wife Cheryl all of Ashland; daughters, Sheree L. Saylor of Livonia, Michigan, Beth Ann Robinson and husband Lyn of Greenup and Lisa Jo Carroll of Ashland; brothers Paul H. Perkins of Florida and Donald R. Perkins of Ashland; a sister Sharon J. Layman of Ashland and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel. Roger McCaleb will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
