Helen Cantrell McKee

Helen Cantrell McKee, of Ashland, passed away on Friday evening, November 25, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on February 5, 1934, to the late John Fred and Lillie Fyffe Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert E. Cantrell, Alvin E. Cantrell and James A. Cantrell; and three sisters, Erma L. Newkirk, Joyce D. Owsley and Darlene Vaughn.

Helen was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland and retired following a 28 year career with the Social Security Administration.

Survivors include two sons, Greg McKee of Catlettsburg, KY, and John McKee of Ashland, KY; daughter, Tammy (and husband, Dwight) Wilmot of Chestertown, MD; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL with Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
