Hobart M Greene, Jr., 89, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland.
Mr. Greene was born April 15, 1933 in Ashland. He was the son of the late Hobart M Sr., and Eve Childers Greene. In addition to his parents his sisters Jackie Braijner and Pauline Blair and a great grandson Mason McClellan preceded him in death.
Hobart retired from the Ashland Police Department after 25 years of service with the rank of detective sergeant. He then worked an additional 14 years as a Deputy Marshall with the United States Marshals Service. He served his country honorably with the United States Army.
In his spare time, he enjoy fishing, hunting and riding his four wheeler.
Survivors include his loving wife Christina Hall Greene of Ashland, his son Tony Greene and wife Pam of Ashland, grandchildren Heather (Heath) Steele, Michael Greene, Jr. and Holley (Kenneth) Turley, great grandchildren, Lillyan McClellan, Gatlin Taylor, Avah Mauk, Miyah Mauk, Violet Turley, Kaleb Turley, Kadence Turley, step grandchildren Paul Michael (Stephanie) Rowe, Jessica Lynn (Jason) Spence, Robert Anthony Spence, niece Connie Blair, nephew Steve Blair and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:15 Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Ashland.
Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00 Noon till 1:00pm at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH ST. CHAPEL.
The Ashland Police Department will assist with services and military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 93 Kenova.
