James Hunter Reed II

James Hunter Reed, II, 63, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, December 03, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born December 22, 1955, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late James Emory Reed and Mary Pauline Reed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Reed in 2013; and a brother, Carl Von Schmauch.

He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years.

Survivors include his children, Johnny B. Maynard, Robert Joseph, Jamie Lee Reed, Rebecca Sue Newcomb and Sarah Dawn Stubbs; brother, Jack Reed; three sisters, Johnnie Brock, Paula Joyce Pennington and Roberta Smith; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Acy Gibson officiating.
