Janice Keeton Lewis, 85, of Ashland, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
She was born February 28, 1933, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James E. “Pops” and Josephine Brumfield “Nana” Keeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ira Lewis on February 27, 2000; brother, J. Donald Keeton; and a sister, Joyce J. Jackson.
Janice worked in Administration Personnel at U.S.A. Women’s Army Corp. from 1957-1963. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.
Survivors include her brother, James E. Keeton, Jr. and wife, Thelma of Ashland; nieces and nephews Jimmy Keeton, Fred Keeton, Lori Johnson, Donnie Keeton, Donna Keeton, Debra Scott and Frederick William Stacey Jackson.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with words of comfort provided by Chaplain Jimm Smedley.
Visitation will be from Noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
