John Mark Bailey

John Mark Bailey, 55, of Ashland, died peacefully Monday, May 4th in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born August 8, 1964, a son of the late Cecil Dean Bailey and Hazel “June” Skaggs Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dean Bailey and a brother in law, Randy Williams.

John attended South Ashland United Methodist Church. He previously worked as a social worker at Boyd County High School and retired as a Charitable Gaming Inspector with the State of Kentucky.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sons, Drew Bailey of Catlettsburg, Bo Bailey and Spencer Bailey of Ashland; sister, Karen Sue Williams of Ashland; sister in law, Linda Bailey of Lexington; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Keith Katterheinrich officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory should be directed to Cancer Research c/o St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
