Judith Fultz Clayton, 78, of Cannonsburg, died peacefully Saturday morning, February 1, 2020 in the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born March 11, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William H. Fultz and Gladys Ball Fultz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Daphne Leslie, Mary Frances Smith, Billie Holt, Helen Camfield, Janet Mollett; and a brother James Fultz.
Judy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg, where she formerly served as pianist and organist. She worked prior to starting her family at Ashland Oil Inc., and later became a devoted homemaker. She shared her love of music with many students while teaching piano lessons for 35 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 55 years, Walter S. Clayton, Jr. of Cannonsburg; son, Edgar “E.J.” Clayton (Kim) of Russell; daughter, Stacey Clayton Rhodes (Thomas) of Eleanor, WV; grandchildren, Lexie Clayton Boyd (Trent), Luke, Lauren and Beau Rhodes; and a great granddaughter Gracelynn Marie Boyd due later this year.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
