Lillian Wright Brown

Lillian Wright Brown, 79, of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center.

She was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Wesley Wright and Lucy Gamble Wright Bryant. In addition to her parents, her husband, George N. Brown; grandson, Cordell Earl; sister, Lydia Wright Maggard; and a brother, Gene Gussler preceded her in death.

Lillian was a member of the VFW and Eagles. She was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was Nannie to all and adopted mother to many. She was an excellent cook, who enjoyed westerns and loved playing bingo.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Deitra (and husband, Jimmy) Hulett and Kim Brunty; sister, Darlene (and husband, Bart) Norris; grandchildren, Sydney (and husband, Darion) Worsley, Savannah Brunty and Ron (and wife, Elizabeth) Cyrus, II; great granddaughter, Riley Worsley; nieces, Teresa (and husband, Donald) Williams, Angie (and husband, Jamie) Reihs and Kylie Maynard; brother in law, Frank Maggard; nephews, Joe Maynard, Trevor (and wife, Rosalyn) Williams and Jared (and wife, Becky) Williams; special cousins, Pam Gamble, Larry (and wife, Kandy) Gamble and Joyce (and husband, Ron) Owens; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL with Marty Gute officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, at the funeral home.
