Loretta Sue Bishop Ferro, 80, of Catlettsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Crystal Care of Coal Grove.
Loretta was born February 26, 1938, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fred Bishop and Eunice Roberts Hayton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. Short; son, Timothy Wayne Ferro, grandson, Michael Wayne Bradley and two brothers, Douglas Bishop and Butch Hayton.
She was the owner and operator of June’s Touch of Class Florist in Catlettsburg.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Greg McCain of Catlettsburg; and John Ferro & wife, Diana of Houston, TX; daughter, Sandra Neunschwander and husband, David of Calhoun, GA; sister, Linda Boyles of Grayson; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Catlettsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from Noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
