Martha Ellen Cripple

Martha Ellen Sparks Cripple, 71, of Findlay, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Center in Bowling Green, OH

Martha was born November 25, 1947, in Ashland, KY to the late Arlie and Mayme Sparks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Mary Stanley, Arlie Sparks, Maxie Tackett, John Sparks, Dorothy Serra, James Sparks and Joe Sparks.

She was a retired as an Advanced Analyst for the joint venture of Ashland Oil and Marathon Oil. She also created a family cookbook and had completed it in the last few months of her life. She also enjoyed doing needlepoint, cross stitch and had started creating many sewing projects for her family.  

She is survived by her beloved children, Brian Lee Cripple and Andrew Joseph (Jaime) and grandchildren, Makenzi Mayme Cripple, Carson Andrew Cripple and Colton Lee Cripple, all of Findlay, Ohio. She is also survived by a brother, Edward Sparks, of Ashland, KY and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Steen Funeral Home, 13th St. Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Leach. Burial to follow in the family plot at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm at the funeral home on Monday.
