Robert Benjamin Hammonds, II

Robert Benjamin “Bob” Hammonds, II, 76, of Ashland, Kentucky passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, in St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Bob was born July 4, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Marion French and Jean Colliver Hammonds. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Heather Serey Wilson and his oldest brother, John French Hammonds preceded him in death.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ashland, and served honorably in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Bob retired as a Master Electrician from Local 575 in Portsmouth, OH. Until his health declined, he was a 32nd degree Mason with Poage Masonic Lodge 325 F&AM.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Jan Wilcox Hammonds of Ashland, KY; daughter, Gena Serey of San Jose, CA; two brothers, Art Hammonds and wife Becky and Paul Hammonds of Cincinnati, OH; and a grandson, Mitchell Wilson of Ashland.

Military graveside services by the U.S. Air Force and American Legion Kenova Post 93 will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022, at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum.
