Ronald L. Runyon

Ronald Leo Runyon, 82, of Ashland, KY, passed away on January 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1936 to the late George and Verna Holmes Runyon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Runyon and sisters Ina Scott and Rosemary Farley.
He was a 1954 graduate of Boyd County High School and retired from Armco Steel Corporation with 36 years as a crane operator. Ronald was a member of Unity Baptist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Carolyn Sue McKenzie of Ashland, KY; sons Jeffery Ronald Runyon (Julie) of Ashland, KY and Warren Bryson Rayburn (Amy) of Cincinnati, OH; daughters Ronda Kay Runyon of Lexington, KY and Jeri Lynn Wright (Bill) of Ashland, KY; a sister Ruth Jarvis (Joe) of Ellisville, MO; Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday. January 30, at 1:00 PM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Couture officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
