Sarah "Peggy" Bellomy

Sarah “Peggy” Bellomy, 95, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at her residence.

She was born June 4, 1923 in Ashland, a daughter of the late George and Addie Urich Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. “Hank” Bellomy in 2002; son, Robert J. Bellomy; two grandsons; two brothers; and four sisters.

Sarah was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her home was always open to her family and friends. She will long be remembered for her kind loving spirit.

Survivors include son, William Lee “Bill” Bellomy of Ashland; daughters, Peggy Arthur and husband, Ronald of Ashland, Barbara Bryan and husband, Cline of Portland, Indiana, and Sharon Pope and husband, Rick of Lexington, KY; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel. A graveside service will immediately follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating.
