Susan Bester

Susan Michelle Bester, 53, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her residence. Susan was born February 17, 1970, in Ashland, KY, a daughter of James Day of Ashland and the late Patricia Borders Day.
Susan is a 1988 graduate of Paul Blazer High School and attended Ashland Community College. She has worked as a receptionist and office manager for several Ashland Businesses including Tri-State Answering Service, the Call Center at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland Children’s Clinic and Hart Family Care.
Those left to cherish her memory include her father James (Laverne) Day of Ashland, her son Stacey Bester and wife Hannah of Ashland, daughters Brittani Bester and fiancé Zach of Ashland, Amber Bocook and husband Robert of Ashland, sister Tina (Tim) England of Ashland, her grandchildren she adored, Delilah, Kyla, Kadi, Jaxtyn, Berklee, Cooper and Asher.
Additional survivors include her step brothers Johnny (Melinda) Gifford of Raceland, Keith (Teri) Gifford of Ashland, David (Stephanie) Gifford of Ashland, step sister Kathy (Kevin) Gallaher of Ashland, her best friend Kathy Skaggs who resides in South Carolina and a host of extended family and good friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, June 12, 2023 at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME, CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL by Jake Day. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to services Monday at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon.
