Thomas Edward Hurn

Thomas Edward Hurn, 79, of Flatwoods, formerly of Maryneal, TX, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his residence. Tom was born September 4, 1942 in Boyd County, KY, a son of the late James Edward Hurn and Bessie Ann DeHart Hurn. In addition to his parents, his son Michael Hurn also preceded him in death.
Tom served his country honorably with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His civilian occupation was a long haul truck driver. Tom traveled the United States delivering goods and merchandise all over the country.
Survivors include his sons Jerimiah Hurn, Mills Hurn, daughters Shawna Hurn, Cheryl Cannon, brother Acey William Hurn and wife Julie, sister Diane Price and husband Jim and several grandchildren.
A memorial is planned for a later date at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East.
