Thomas Walter Wessel

Thomas Walter Wessel, 74, of Ashland, KY passed away at The Sanctuary of Ohio on September 18, 2022 where he had precious time with his loved ones to say goodbye. He was preceded in death by his late wife Martha Geneva Wessel, three older brothers, Billy, Keith, and Jerry, a sister Barbara Jo Wessel, a cousin Danny Griggs “Uncle Hammer”, and a granddaughter Ayla Rhiannon Marie.
He was a retired manager in fiber optics, was a man of God and a member of Blackburn Avenue Baptist Church and served proudly in the U.S. Army. Thomas was a big fan of NASCAR and the Kentucky Wildcats. Thomas was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
Thomas is survived by his loving family, a son Mike Wade Wessel, daughters Heather Marie Wessel, Amanda ElizabethWessel, his partner Madara McPeek, a sister Sandy Kay Adams , step daughter Lacee Penix, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Simones, two grandchildren, Tristen Marshall Kade, and Talon Wade Wessel, great grandsons Kayden Talmage and Keagan McKinley Osborne, former wife Kandis K. Hasenjager, nephew William Phillip Wessel, niece Teri Jo Spangler and his beloved cat Sassy.
