Travis Umberger

Travis Wayne Umberger, beloved husband, father, son and grandson, died peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Travis was born on May 31, 1977, in Ashland, Kentucky, the oldest son of Jerry and Beth Wheeler Umberger of Ashland.

A 1995 graduate of Paul Blazer High School. Travis was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church. His life revolved around his wife and daughter. He was a devoted “Dance Dad”. He had a heart that knew no limits. He could light up the room with his bright smile. He was a friend to everyone and stranger to no one.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Courtney Barrett Umberger; daughter, Blake Elizabeth Umberger; his parents, Jerry and Beth Umberger; maternal grandmother, Mary Wheeler; brother, Kyle (Emma) Umberger; father in law, Bengy Barrett; mother in law, Linda Elkins Barrett; sister in law, Carly (Terrence) Campbell and three nieces and a nephews.

A celebration of Travis’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with Rev. Keith Katterheinrich officiating. A private family burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
