William Jody Sullivan, a resident of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland surrounded by his loving family. Jody just recently celebrated his 60th birthday, born June 7, 1959 in Pasadena, TX, a son of the late William Alonzo and Kathleen Bridges Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan was an employee of General Heating and Air Conditioning in the sheet metal department. He loved to deer hunt and being from Texas was a master barbeque chef. He loved to barbeque at home which was fondly referred to as “Roosters Barbeque” and cooked on several occasions for the Brush Creek Freewill Baptist Church Homecoming at Armco Park.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Linda Griffith Sullivan of Ashland, his daughter Melissa Kay Gumbert and husband Corey of Ashland, a special friend Bobby Scott whom Jody fondly referred to as “Biggun”, his grandchildren he adored Aaron Gumbert, William Gumbert, and a host of extended family, co-workers, and good friends.
A service to celebrate Jody’s life will be held at 6:00pm Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel by Chaplain Jimm Smedley.
